Neo-Gladiators couple

"Well I've always said Shinji and Hikari were an adorable pair, even if they're both a little too timid for their own good, and we've run into several alternate versions of them that bare me out on that observation. And then there's these two, who've got all of the cuteness expect for that they don't get embarassed anywhere near as easily which considering some of the stuff I've heard was going on at their reunion party isn't surprising, Hikari apparantly got a little drunk felt the urge to dance and decided the room was a little to warm if you get my meaning. And then he did the same thing.... And they're not as private about the details of their love life, even if it's just complaining about how many beds they go through, which admittably is something most of us have been through. They do have the tendancy to occasionally cross the line into so sweet you can feel your teeth rotting looking at them but not often according to Lasher Ranma. And they've also had at least one fight that basically ended with the team having to help rebuild a large part of Osaka, and they're both very tight lipped about what exactly caused that one, though Venom Misato mentioned to me that they started inviting Lasher and Colossus Asuka out on a lot of double dates not long after that. We both took the not my business response to that one.

Course according to Hercules Shinji there were a lot of rumors about him in their home verse...I don't know what he expects he's allergic to shirts and he wears a shorter skirt then his girlfriend of course people are going to talk. All joking aside these two are a fine example of what's been called a battle couple, it's something else to watch them when they're in a fight, it's like they share a brain sometimes. And that's not a crack on their intelligence. Course they're both a bit flashier then nessicary but that's something all of their team has in common, except for Lasher Ranma they're probably the biggest bunch of ham heroes this side of the Disaster Squad and everyone on that team is a certified nutcase. And hopefully far away from Chicago right now but I digress, we try not to talk about that bunch, they've got a nasty habit of popping up if you mention them too often. Anyhow I'm hoping these two and their team do find someplace to settle down, probably not hear but I've heard the Iowa branch of the Champions is recruiting and there's rumors that something's going on there, another weird rock from space, I can count the times anything good's come from something like that with one hand. Heard there's some funny stuff going on in Hawaii too, but considering what the norm down there is...Well I'm sure not looking closer."

(art provided by :iconmarcoasalaram: I had a bit of trouble comming up with stuff to say here, but I do love this pic, and the whole Hercules Shinji Submariner Hikari pairing in general, if for no more reason then it's fun to deal with a version of anime's most famous wet blanket that's not lacking in self esteem, and would probably make Gendo eat his glasses before he'd put up with most of what goes on in canon. And Hikari's just fun to make a super heroine out of in general)
